Airports

Airport ground lighting (AGL) systems consisting of runway, taxiway, and gateway lighting are mission-critical for airport authorities to safely manage aircraft movements across over 37,000 airports around the world.

Runway LightingCAT level (CAT I, CAT II and CAT III) runways, of which there are over 6,000 worldwide, require up to 15 different runway lighting systems to meet compliance standards set by the ICAO, FAA and EASA respectively. Specially designed high-power ONROADLED™ markers form intelligent runway & taxiway lighting systems. The system can be activated in groups of markers or can address individual markers. The light units can be switched, dimmed, or set in flashing mode as well as sequencing functions to adapt to the individual situation.

Gateway Lighting Massive growth in air traffic demand and airport expansions mean the apron and gateway areas are becoming busier and more hazardous, accounting for up to 80% of airport accidents. We believe ONROADLED™ markers forming dynamic and active real time guidance systems can minimise the risks through these areas.
